nvramtool software package provides Read/write coreboot-related NVRAM/CMOS information, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nvramtool
nvramtool is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nvramtool package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nvramtool *
You will get with nvramtool package name, version, architecture and description in a table
